The Joy Of Advanced Parcel Search Tools

So you’re looking for a parcel. The good news is, you’re in the right place. The better news is, we have some Advanced Search tools to help you find exactly what you’re looking for. ParcelQuest is the best place to find California parcel data, because we don’t just get the freshest data directly from California County Assessors—we also do the research to make sure our search tools are serving your unique needs. Below, we go over some of our Advanced Search tools so you can find the parcels you need, fast.

Geography

Ah, geography, our favorite grade school subject! We’ve made this tool especially valuable for anyone who loves their latitude and longitude. Say you’re working out in the field and need some information about a particular tract of farmland. Who owns it? Which farm is it a part of? Which address does a particular growing field belong to? So, plug in those coordinates when you get back to the office and you’ll be able to find the precise address and ownership information you’re looking for.

You can also run a search by Section, Township and Range. You’ll see the section boundary shaded and outlined in red with a marker placed in the middle of the integrated Google map. From there, you’ll see links to the Bureau of Land Management’s maps and surveys.

Maps

We love maps. What better way to see parcels in all their glory? Use this tool to download a county index or just center the integrated Google map on a specific county. Once you’re where you need to be, you can zoom in as close as you need to find a particular parcel. From there, you can use the map tools on the left to draw a point, line or area, view different layers, or search for a specific parcel by latitude or longitude, among other options.

Radius & Comp Search

Our search tools have been accused of being fast and easy, and we’re not denying it. When you need a quick way to find parcels that fall within a certain radius, this is your tool. If you’re basing your search on a parcel’s centroid, Radius Search makes it easy to find the properties that surround a particular parcel. When you have the results you need, you can export them as mailing labels or an Excel spreadsheet.

If you’re an appraiser looking for relevant data, our Comp Search tool will help you find what you need. Just enter the APN or address of your subject property and within seconds, our Comp Search feature will automatically find comparable properties that sold recently. If you want to further refine your search, you can easily adjust the sales comp criteria.

Documents

We like to keep our bases covered. Although you might normally search by address to find a property’s associated documents, why not flip that process around? This tool allows you to search by document type as opposed to looking up a particular address. Your results will then show you the parcels that are relevant to your document search.

Tax

Looking for a delinquent property? We too like to live dangerously. This tool allows you to find the delinquent property of your dreams within a particular county by searching by taxing agency, the default amount owed, the default year, or a combination of any of these options. It’s time to get excited about what’s coming to the auction block.

Saved Work

Your searches are unique. They’re intricate. They’re beautiful. Let’s face it, they’re a pain to recreate. With this tool, you don’t have to. When you use any of our Advanced Search tools, you have the option to save your work so you can come back to it later. At the top of your search results page, just click the green “Save Work” button, and you’re set.

Here at ParcelQuest, we’re working overtime to make sure you get the parcel data you need when you need it. Maybe also where you need it. And definitely how you need it. Perhaps also why you need it? Look, that’s none of our business. What matters is that you find what you’re looking for, and also stay hydrated. For smooth, supple skin, drink plenty of water and use ParcelQuest to find the parcels you need.
